Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

(California License REQUIRED or PENDING application)

Job Description:

  • Private practice
  • Full time
  • Both CLINIC and IN-HOME work setting.
  • Traveling required
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Clinic setting consists of treating children in early intervention (under 3 years), and school age children. Two locations Covina and Arcadia, work placement based on need.
  • All full-time employees work 2 days in the clinic and the 3 days doing in-home.
  • Saturday clinic work based need.
  • IN-HOME work setting consists of driving to clients home and providing therapy in the child’s home. Must be willing to drive in the San Gabriel Valley. Therapy sessions in the home are one hour per client.
  • SLP-A must follow and apply code of ethics established by ASHA. Provide ongoing speech therapy, progress reports, and discharge summaries (in consultation with supervising clinician). The SLP-A will implement goals established by the SLP.
  • Excellent learning experience. Continuing education provided via in-services and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • CA SLP-A license
  • BA degree in a related field

Job Title: CA Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description:

  • CFY entry level position & Supervisor position available,
  • Conduct Therapy & Speech and Language Evaluations.
  • Excellent opportunity to mentor, supervise and gain private practice experience.
  • Part-Time 4-20 hours week or Full time available. Flexible.

Duties:

  • Provide speech and language evaluations in home and/or in the clinic.
  • Supervise SLP-A’s.

Supervision Duties:

  • Provide supervision to one (1) or two (2) Speech Language Pathology- Assistants
  • Meet with SLP-A, 1:1 meeting, meet ASHA supervision guidelines.
  • Attend quarterly company in-services.
  • Complete speech and language reports, and progress reports. Minimal paperwork!

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Communication Disorders
  • California license
  • Ethical, consistent, professional able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Minimum of 2-year experience for supervisory position
  • CFY position no experience required
  • Bilingual a plus.

Compensation:

Job Title: Early Interventionist

Job Description/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home services to children under the age of 3 that have developmental delays.
  • Infant teacher addresses social skills, fine motor, gross motor, self-help and language development.
  • Travel to every client’s home. Children are seen in their home for a one-hour session.
  • Language goals are developed with a speech therapist.
  • Provide 1 hour of service per client and follow an established curriculum (HELP).
  • Write a summary note after each session.
  • Write a semi-annual report for each child.
  • Work collaboratively with speech therapist and occupational therapist.
  • Attend quarterly meetings.
  • Attend quarterly in-services.
  • Meet with a speech therapist once a month to review client’s progress and get support.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Spanish and English.
  • Must have a reliable car and cell phone.
  • Candidate must be responsible, detailed oriented and have good communication skills.
  • Must love children and families.
  • Parent education is ongoing.
  • Employee must feel comfortable driving and providing services within San Gabriel Valley.
  • Do not apply if you are not willing to drive to the client’s home.

Education:

  • BA in a related field i.e. child development, psychology, social work, communicative disorders.
  • BA in communicative disorders a plus.
